Xero - allow additional COGS accounts




Currently TG permits multiple Sale accounts. This is configured in Customers under the “Default Sales Account” field and works perfectly. However, if we could also match a COGS field we’d be able to ascertain GM and GM% from within our G/L and P/L Statement.

Why is this feature important?

It is only logical to have this ability.

Please describe how you would use this feature:

Sales for Brand X are coded to account 401. COGS would be 402. We then could see direct relationships in the P/L w/o running additional reports. You already have this if we use Tracking, but this is the primary designator.

If we do not work on this feature, how will this impact your business?

It will require multiple reports be run.

I can definitely see the benefits of allowing additional COGS accounts. Although we do not have immediate plans to change this with our Xero integration, I will highlight this to the product team to see if it gains any traction.
