Display size variant by literal size (not alphabetical)

#1

Description:
It would be ideal if size variants were sorted by literal size in all instances that they are displayed in TradeGecko.

Why is this feature important?
Humans think of sizes from smallest to largest.
When reading a Pick List or reviewing a Sales Order, I expect to see variants ordered like this (XS, S, L, XXL) not like this (L, S, XL, XXL). The latter is disorienting.

Please describe how you would use this feature:
Everywhere on TradeGecko where size variants are displayed.

If we do not work on this feature, how will this impact your business?
We will have to work more slowly fulfilling orders and will be more likely to make mistakes. We’ll also continue to avoid using TradeGecko’s automated templates since these seem to have similar bugs.

Hi Brian,
Cool idea, this request was picked up as one of the team’s hack projects and has just gone live.

It should be available next time you log in.

Cheers,
Bradley

Hey Bradley,

Awesome! Thank you.

Follow up thought: This feature would be well served by a menu for customizing the labels and their ordering, since not all businesses follow the same naming convention for sizes. A customization tool would also make it easy to expand this functionality to any variant type, not just size.

Cheers,
Brian

Inventory can display product variant but this isn’t possible on a Sales Order when its created,

As Brian mentioned we don’t read in that way.

when a customer creates a sales order loads the products into their basket checks out the sales order is created in the order the products are loaded.

that’s the way its created can a the variant tab be added to a sales order to organise the products together

we use the sales order as a picking list, this can slow the process down as we are loading multiple vans and products can get missed and mis-picked.
